One day, after visiting the Pikillaqta Ruins (post to come later this week), Kenzo and I, along with the Fernandez Baca family, headed to Tipon, which is supposedly the place to eat cuy.
So, how was it? Actually – it was good. It kind of reminded us of dark chicken meat or maybe even duck. The Peruvians eat all the way through the brain – Kenzo and I, however, could not handle that. But, we really did like it and will probably try again. If you’re coming to visit and want to try it – let us know.
Your dad says that he will pass on eating cuy when we come to visit.
eek! it looks like a dead rat on the plate! i guess i’d eat it if i were hungry enough! : )
